Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Motovexa handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

Effective and last updated: October 14, 2026Developer: Rizen Techno

At a glance

  • No account and no sign-up. Your garage, service records and fuel logs stay on your phone.
  • VIN lookups go to public U.S. government data services (NHTSA and FuelEconomy.gov).
  • The camera is used only to read the VIN barcode; images are not uploaded.
  • Ads are provided by Google AdMob; notifications are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • We do not sell your personal information. You can delete everything from Settings → Delete all data.

1. Who we are

Motovexa (“the app”) is developed and published by Rizen Techno (“we”, “us”), a software company based in Bangladesh. We are responsible for the information described in this policy.

Contact: support@rizentechno.com · Plot 29, Kushal Center (3rd Floor, Room 5), Sector 3, Uttara, Dhaka 1230, Bangladesh

This policy applies to the Motovexa mobile app on Android and iOS and to this website (rizentechno.com/motovexa). It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to.

2. Information we handle and why

2.1 Information you enter in the app

VINs you scan or type, cars you save to your garage, odometer readings, service records, maintenance reminders, fuel fill-ups (gallons, cost, odometer), tire and battery details, checklist progress, recent lookups and app settings.

Where it is kept: only on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores these records, and we cannot see them. If your phone's own backup is turned on (Google backup on Android, iCloud on iPhone), your device may include this data in that backup, which is managed by Google or Apple under their terms. Temporary report caches are excluded from backup.

2.2 Vehicle lookups

To show a report, the app sends the VIN — and the make, model and model year it decodes to — to free public U.S. government services: NHTSA vPIC (VIN decoding), NHTSA Recalls and NHTSA Safety Ratings, and FuelEconomy.gov (U.S. Department of Energy / EPA). Like any website, these services receive your device's IP address with the request. A VIN identifies a vehicle, not a person.

If your network cannot reach those services directly, the app may send the same request through our relay server at rizentechno.com, which forwards it and keeps a copy of the public vehicle data for up to 24 hours to speed up repeat lookups. The relay does not store your garage, records or any identifier for you; standard server logs (IP address, time, requested URL) may be kept for up to 30 days for security.

2.3 Camera

The camera is used only while the VIN scanner is open, to read the VIN barcode. Images are processed on your device and are not saved or uploaded by us. On Android, barcode reading uses Google's on-device ML Kit library, which may send Google limited diagnostic and performance information about the library itself (not your images).

2.4 Notifications

Recall and service alerts are created on your device by the app.

News and update messages are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). To deliver them, Firebase assigns your installation a random messaging token and installation ID. The app joins general groups (“topics”) such as all users, Android or iPhone users, and users of a specific app version. We send messages to these groups, never to identified individuals, and we do not use this token for advertising. You can turn off “News & updates” in Settings or disable notifications for the app in your phone's settings. Uninstalling the app invalidates the token.

2.5 Advertising

Motovexa is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, ad interactions and diagnostics, to show, personalize, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud and abuse. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

  • Consent: where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and certain U.S. states), the app shows Google's consent and privacy-choices message before personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad choices (shown where applicable).
  • iPhone: the app asks for permission to track under Apple's App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, you still see ads, but your device's advertising identifier is not used to personalize them.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

2.6 App settings file

The app periodically downloads a small settings file from rizentechno.com (for example, to tell you that a new version is available). This request contains no personal information other than what any web request contains, such as your IP address.

2.7 Support and the website

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include, and use it only to answer you. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies; our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and operation.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not ask for or collect your name, email address (unless you write to us), phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, health or financial information. Motovexa has no account system and no in-app purchases.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the app, each under its own privacy policy:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the features you ask for, such as vehicle lookups); consent (personalized advertising and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); and legitimate interests (keeping the app and website secure and working, non-personalized ads, and answering support requests).

6. How long information is kept

  • On-device records: until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
  • Relay cache: public vehicle data for up to 24 hours.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days, longer only if needed to investigate a security incident.
  • Support emails: as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record keeping, then deleted; you can ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Google services: retained by Google under its own policies.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data: Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app. See Data Deletion.
  • Notifications: turn off “New recall alerts”, “Service reminders” or “News & updates” in Settings, or in your phone's notification settings.
  • Ads: use Settings → Ad choices (where shown), your device's ad settings, or decline tracking on iPhone.
  • Camera: allow or revoke camera access in your device settings; you can always type the VIN instead.

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Ads served through AdMob may be considered “sharing” or targeted advertising under some laws; you can opt out through Settings → Ad choices (shown where applicable) and your device's ad settings. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

EEA/UK rights. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@rizentechno.com. Because we do not hold accounts or your in-app records, most data can be deleted directly on your device. We respond within 30 days (45 days where U.S. state law allows).

8. Children

Motovexa is a general-audience vehicle utility intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

All network connections made by the app use encrypted HTTPS. Records on your device are protected by your device's own security (screen lock and storage encryption). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we handle.

10. International transfers

We are based in Bangladesh, and our service providers (including Google and U.S. government data services) may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the app's features or data practices change — for example before adding accounts or new services. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will also be announced in the app or on the store listing.
